not too too far from you here in AL, curious on a pup if you do breed again. We have a Rescue Boxer that is great with my kids and barks well when something is amiss but she wouldn't hurt a fly. Except cats, hates cats

Here is a little bit more about what goes into a protection dog. This is the boring stuff no one talks about. It is of the upmost importance that your dog can handle himself in any situation. Whether its walking the children or obeying comands at a distance with giant machines, vibrating earth, traffic, and joggers.

Once on place Ahrens is not to move from his location without command. He can stand,sit, lay down, or do jumping jacks as long as he stays in place even if he can not see me.

When he is on heel with my boys he stays within arms reach. I allow variations in location when it comes to the kids. With me he must be on my left side.

Ray lane http://afmastiffs.weebly.com/ of Arkabutla Farm mastiffs does a couple of litters a year. He also breeds other protection mastiff type dogs. He is trying recreate the Brindle Bulldog. He is in Cold Water, MS which is near Memphis, TN. He had raised his price to $600 when I purchase mine almost 4 years ago. For these dogs others charge $2500 for animals which are not as good.

When properly bred the Giant Schnauzer is an excellent family protection dog. I say properly bred because if people are running puppy mills no telling what quality dog you will get. A friend some years ago purchased one in Georgia that was a very good dog. They can be expensive.

There are still people breeding white english dogs in alabama. The picture of Jager is a dog that was bred in Monroe, AL. I do not know the breeder since the dog is not mine.

I wonder how two all white dogs produce a pup with a red and dark eye patch. It is not common with these types of dogs.

We have that with our cows. The mother and grandmother and dad would be black and the calf would be red or have a white face. Probably brindle from ages gone by

White English Dog defends owner

Had a real situation yesterday smh......well yesterday there was a druken angry man in his looked to be late thirties yelling obscenities and kicking my privacy fence. I only came out because I heard preacher going crazy! As I came out the back door I saw what preacher (Dog) barking I yelled for the man to stop who was clearly drunk....now this guy was fairly tall (6'4") compared to my 5'10 1/2" ....and suddenly he charged me and even though I'm not a small man he caught me off guard and at this point I'm tussling with this guy and out of nowhere the guy stops and starts yelling in pain and I see 9 month old Lady biting his back leg! He then went to hit her and as soon as he raised his arm she grabbed his arm as he was coming down with it...every thing happened so fast that all I could seemingly do was yell lady stop! She stopped but was clearly agitated and I then focused my attention on the man who was grabbing his arm. He was bleeded pretty bad just above the wrist. My neighbor called the ambulance and obviously police were called out....my neighbor came out as a witness and told the police exactly what had happened and after hearing my side of the story they soon left, the drunk guy I was told was going to be taken to get a few stitches and rest up at the station. I didn't want to press any charges for my damaged fence obviously lol I think he wont be coming around any time soon. Afterwards the cop asked me what kind of dog lady was as I was showing him her shot papers. He said that he never heard of such a dog! then proceeded to ask where I had her protection trained. I grinned and told him that she never once had a lick of training lol. He said well damn! "Hell of a dog" "have a good day sir" apparently lady busted the back screen door to get out smh.....I write this with tears in my eyes because I never had a dog do such a thing......

I suspect that the other dog preacher was chained.
