She's ugly, but you've really piqued my interest in the old English White!! I currently have 2 GSD's, one registered. the rescue I don't believe is 100%, but well muscled.
When I got the AKC dog I posted here that dad looked to be 125lbs +. Somebody here said they don't get that big. Ruger's 125#'s and still too slim, long & tall. Shadow, the rescue weighed 85# at the vet.

Stay safe, and keep educating us.

No, absolutely not (she said bossily). As a former English Bull Terrier owner, I can tell you that creature has been "morphed" with an English Bull Terrier. That tail is a deal giveaway; the flanks, the head. Is it real??

Ugh, quit! Quit ruining dogs! That thing cannot reach its hind end to pull out the puppies. This happens with the English "bulldog" (cultivated DWARF — sorry if I offended any dwarves on this board), and also with the EBT at times. They frequently have Caesareans, right?

Too heavily muscled, they torque out their kneecaps, called luxating patella. Form over function.

You maybe right with way the muzzle looks, but I think a straight cross with a bull terrier would have given a better more agile looking dog. It does for sure have a dwarfed look to it that I have only seen in the english bulldog and toy breeds. The tail is not so different from what is seen in a lot mastiff derived dogs. Some english bulldogs have a thin tail from other crosses that can also corkscrew tail which might be from the pug.
Some other running type dogs like the modern running alanos from spain being shown in picture below have a fat tail

But the thin straight tail was seen in the english bulldogs and may be crosses with terriers or greyhound type dogs. Earlier english bulldogs.

I have seen huge german shepherds. By way the original german shepherds came from regions that also have mastiff type dogs. I have been told or rather read that GSD have mastiff genes in them. Some of the early GSD were white. The mainline GSD groups went away from that. But there are breeders of White GSD and people claim they are different from the darker ones.
The modern GSD has been changed a lot and for the worse relative to stance by the dog show breeders.
The fact is there are so many different lines of GSD these days and I am sure that some are much better than the others. The original GSD were intended to work about livestock and about 100 yrs ago or so the dark GSDs were bred for police work and such which changed the behavior of the breed relative to live stock protection. Originally breed was not a good term to use. Likely every region or valley or even family had their own lines as was and still is to some extent for the southern bulldogs.
