    Laila, originally my gf's dog, now "ours". 8 year old Boxer/Greyhound mix. Normally very sedate, even submissive, but has a very strong prey drive and goes from 0 to Kill Mode instantly after any critters in the yard. A couple woodchucks have been a moment too slow. I admire her ability to switch "on" in the blink of an eye, seems a good quality for more than just dogs to have.

    I just pulled this magnificent beast from our local shelter:

    He stayed overnight (did great with my pack, I had 5 GSDs in the house all at once!) and is now on his way to our rescue's ranch where he'll get vetted up and ready for adoption. If anybody is interested let me know.

    Is this something you'll be doing long term? I don't have the space for a GSD right now, but I'm hoping to in the next few years.
