    Another good breed of dogs

This why I like these dogs so much (Airedales). Mable is not just a hog dog and farm dog but also my daughter's walking companion. She never done any bite work but is automatically protective of her. She won't let anyone near her.

    Ok

My remarks to Gary and his wife:
Two of my dogs do smell rather badly, so hugging and kissing them is not high on my to do list
    Anne loves these doggies....she doesn't care....lol

Not the wisest lady, but she survived this time as did her animals
I think the snake was a western diamond back rattler. Many of the older breeds of guard dogs will avoid poisonous snakes, but will still alert on them.

But they grow up lol. That one will likely be a very large, big headed bulldog. For that breed type the males are more easy going than the females are.

Yeah they do. Got 110 pounds of GSD dozing about 8 feet away.

That is a big gsd for sure. My big female is about 90lbs which is on the large size for a female white english but there have been bigger females. Early evening I let them in because the mosquitoes are very bad then. Each of the three have there own assigned places in the house to avoid fights over territory. The females are real bitches and the younger male pup gets along real well with his half sister and his mother. He will likely go over 100 lbs when he fills in.
I will put the two females out tonight to protect some loaded persimmon trees from the critters. They are starting to ripen now. I ate one earlier, but traces of diesel fuel on fingers spoiled the taste. I changed out the fuel filter on my tractor and hope I got all of the air out of the lines.

I will give them some food soon. I have started supplementing their dry dog food with rear chicken quarters from wallyworld (60 cents a lb). At times it is mackerel canned in brine for omega 3s ($1.20 a can). Today I purchased about 7 lbs of pork scraps (1.10/lb) and some eggs for them. I will finish off the chicken quarters now.

Do the white English suffer from allergies? I'm guessing they are not food-sensitive, but GSDs are often allergic to foods, mites, pine needles and who knows what.
