I do not know if dogs actually wore armor to any degree and especially in the new world, but people did use dogs to attack humans in raids and for hunting in the new world.
"The dogs the Conquistadors brought with them were Mastiff breeds who were hardly the lap variety or destined for the plate. These attack dogs, often wearing their own armor, were the common European shock and awe tactic of the period. The first documented New World use of these canine swat teams occurred in 1495 when Bartholomew Columbus, Chris’s brother, used 20 mastiffs in a battle waged at Santa Maris el Antigua, Darien with his brother employing the same approach a year later. These dogs were trained to pursue, disembowel and dismember humans and to this purpose, enjoyed a human diet in the Americas. The Spanish reveled in holding human hunts called “la Monteria infernal “ where much sport was made of chasing and killing the local men, women and children. The noted Spanish apologist Bartolme de La Casas has left us numerous accounts of the exploits of these hounds from hell"....

Crush your enemies...
Our current foster Riley:
6 Month old male AKC registered owner surrender.
Owner is a truck driver and unable to continue caring for him.
He gets along great with my pack. High energy, great toy drive, very smart, easily trainable.
We're setting up his vet appointment (he's up to date on shots already) for microchipping and snipping. After that he'll be available for adoption. Let me know if anybody is interested in adopting him and I can help with the process. I doubt he makes it past our next adoption event.
Pick their bones clean. Leave nothing behind.
Things that can’t go on forever, won’t. Debts that can’t be paid, won’t be. Promises that can’t be kept, won’t be.
Now I want spiked armor for my Danes.
Side note, I saw a little bit of the ancient hate a couple days ago. I came home with sunglasses on and our big one didn't recognize me right off. She really wanted to taste my spine, but the floor was too slippery for her. Then she figured out it was me and was so sorry she hugged me and peed.
