Yes, the two grey ones are brother and sister. The fawn one is the youngest of the three. All three are APBT.

Interesting pictures of horses, fighting dogs, and fighting birds. If seems to be Afghanistan and surrounding places.

This is about an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog pup.
Little mister is a handful!!! The things he eats! This morning he was chewing what I thought was a toy when suddenly there was a poof and grey dust goes flying. Yes his face and mouth too. The little shit was eating fire works!!
Going to be some interesting gas for a while. Reminds me of Andy Griffith and the goat episode.

Good question. It looks like a war club, including apparent spikes, and has a metal pointed cap. There is no lock on it, and I see no match among his equipment. The horn is not a powder horn, from what I can tell. And he looks more like a gamekeeper--note the keys, than a soldier.

Maybe something used to dispatch large game, once treed or cornered by hounds.
    Warrior for the working day.

I still do not not know the weapon but elsewhere there was a discussion of at least the mans duties and office. The horn is for blowing to summon or warn. The fellow looks muscular and capable. I see what might be a fighting or at least a large knife, but no sword and so he looks to be low born and maybe a freeman or even still a serf. Not a Soldier.
The knife might be a saxon knife: the term seax is used specifically for a type of small sword, knife or dagger typical of the Germanic peoples of the Migration period and the Early Middle Ages, especially the Saxons, whose name derives from the weapon.

no. He’s a warden. Title is A Warden
A little research suggests this is a painting by Charles Hamilton Smith (1776-1839) called Medieval Porter. A porter's job was to guard the entrance to the Lord's Hall. He would basically interview people to allow or deny them access. Note the keys on his belt. I suppose the dog was to settle disputes.

Pretty coyote I caught today in SC. Looks like he has some husky dog in him.
