Which one should I get and why?
Both is the obvious answer but I want reasoning on why/when one is better than the other.

If ease of hiding is the priority = Gang Unit. If ease of use is = GNS

Onward & Upward!
The GU is normally carried OWB while the GnS is carried IWB right? Wouldn't that make the GU faster to deploy?
I'm leaning towards the GU, simply because of the carry method and because it's a smaller blade. I don't see the point in going with the 3.95" blade over the 2.5". I'd think I'd rather have a smaller more concealable blade OR the largest that I can legally carry (5.5").
Thoughts?
I have a Gang Unit...I am ordering the GNS but the GU is my EDC.
If you have an issue concealing a GnS... A smaller knife isn't what you should be focused on. Just saying.
I have no experience with the GU... But my GNS hides quite nicely

How can you profit from the status quo, instead of complaining about it?

NPE situations, I prefer the smaller knife. The GU handle is also somewhat unconventional, so most people won't pick up what is there. Ultimately though, you're correct, it doesn't make much difference. My GU even made it through Canadian Customs when they tossed my truck and made me empty my pockets (camping knife). I doubt the GNS would have made it, but that's conjecture.

I have to tuck my shirt it at work. Sammy said what I was thinking. I don't the the GU would draw much attention even if carried OWB with shirt tucked.
I know I CAN conceal a GnS, hell, I conceal my Glock and spare mag.
In my eyes, the GU would be more of a reactive blade.
I have my CS XL Voyager as a proactive blade, although I would rather have a good 5.5" fixed blade with a nice sheath (preferably designed, manufactured, sold, and tested by one perfectionist pirate).
I may have a sheath made for my CS Peacemaker 5.5" and carry that IWB for a while.
