Question Why are there no classes in the Pacific Northwest?

Right now I'm living in Washington near Fort Lewis, courtesy of the US Army. I'm always on the lookout for a SI class to come my way but they never make it up here. Why is that? There are a truly huge number of firearms enthusiasts up here (I know, Washington gun folk, go figure).

You have a pistol class in 3 weeks.

If you want more, get several of your friends to commit, and one of the two Washington State instructors would be happy to run a class.

Eagerly waiting for one of said Washington instructors to offer 0-5, and I'm not the only one. My wife attended Ted's DPS class in Olympia (an unexpected funeral kept me from joining her) and it changed her life.

The ground is swelling up here. Good things are coming.

More classes are coming guys, stay tuned. Let Ted Demosthenes and me know what classes you want to see. The more people we can get to commit the sooner we can get more stuff going up here.

Well it looks like cowboy up time is here...

    Yippee ki yay, emmer effer.

0-5, bring it on! We'll be there. I've got a week of vacation that's unscheduled right now, waiting for the class announcement. But if it's not gonna happen this year I'd like to know so that I can take that week and do something else....

Steve, I am trying to be helpful here, so please do not take this the wrong way.

You have to be a Tier One Instructor to teach 0-5. If the more basic courses do not get any support the chances of a Tier One Instructor traveling to the area diminishes dramatically. This is the same type of problem that the PNW has seen for five years now, everyone wanting a different course and only a handful of students supporting the courses that do come in the area.

It is all about building the area one step at a time. If everyone holds off for "the one" perfect course, the area is shooting itself in the foot. That is exactly what has happened in the past.

Anything and everything offered after DPS. Schedule something for November or December. Good reason to drink more coffee.
