I know Christmas is not about gifts and i had a blast with my family and enjoyed pastors sermon at both services and am thankful for Jesus and all he does for me and mine... But it is the season to have an excuse to get what you want...

I officially received permission from the xo carry the Glock26 I bought off madmike here at WT. Plus 150 rounds of ammo.

Have purchased the Condor Tactical Belt for my brother, who is a warrior at heart. His job situation is slowing him from acquiring the CWL, but these sort of encouragers will help I'm sure.

I'm a different kind of person I think... got a wiring kit for my new jeep's fog lights, bansai tree, chain maile plier set, snuggie, Naruto movie, etc. I am blessed with a family that understands me in some weird and wonderful ways.

The biggest shocker of the day: Got $50 cash from my dad... who is still in prison...

Well I was suppose to get everything I wanted to make a battle belt... my parents ordered it all from OST a couple weeks ago but it didn't show up in time. My mom said something about ups, fedex and usps all using the recent snow storms as excuses for not getting things delivered this year. Now weather it was shipping delays or OST being extremely busy I have no idea. All I know was my mom was upset even though I kept reassuring her that it was fine lol. It did provide good fodder for a couple of jokes through out the night though lol. The best part was just being with my wife, daughter, parents and sister most of the day. Next year should be even better when my daughter is almost 3 and starts getting a clue about what's happening lol.

I already started a thread about getting to help a co-worker out and my eagle sighting. It was a nice way to end Christmas Eve. I was blessed with a nice quiet day at work on Christmas Day.

One of the things I like to do is woodworking. I got the Kreg Jig deluxe kit. Cool tool!

Time on skype with Dr Meade and Jamusmc, a remote controlled Apache helicopter! It could not have been better, as my family was here this year!!

C has a personal drone now to mount guns on!

It surprises me how many warehouses for most of the stuff we like is out west. I feel for the people who paid extra for rush delivery to make sure it got here before Christmas. It is going to be a headache for someone this week.

Under the 9-foot tree with our 8-foot ceilings (lucky to have skylights!).... There were many objects given and received, but my wife and I had my brother, his two girls and granddaughter, our three (remaining) daughters, our married daughter with our grandson, and a fine young man - the Son-in-Law. Even had a couple friends drop in. (Seating was at a premium!) The house was filled with loving people, happiness, good food, laughter, - oh, yeah, and gifts.
I gave my 18-yr-old a CZ-82 with all the accessories and 250 starter rounds - she was a little excited. (I gave my oldest girl an SKS with all the accessories and a loaded bandolier on stripper-clips when she got married. Let's see what I can find in a couple years for my now-16-yr-old.)

Gift wise, the highlight for me this year was the threaded Storm Lake barrel for my G20, which my wife gave me along with a box of ammo. Father in law sent me a Starrett dial indicator set (his own son is hopelessly mechanically disinclined, so I get the tool gifts), and brother gave me an Amazon card which will be translated into more tools. Stepmom gave me a braided paracord rifle sling.

SO gave me a box of great cigars, cutter, and torch. Condition is that I smoke on the patio. Okay in my book as it doesn't really get cold here. Got myself new brakes for the p/u and a pair of magazines for the glocks I have.. Can't have too many magazines (especially these Ca. 10-rounders).

About 3 months ago I started training real serious with my other hand......Now the transition to the other hand is piece of cake.......my only complaint is the mag release is a little slower using the index finger.......

The greatest gift I recieved a little over 2000 years ago.
Next was the opportunity to spend another Christmas with my family. This year we refused to go all out and bought the kids something that they would value. The daughter, who is eight by the way, recieved a pink camo Thompson Center 22lr. The look on her face was a huge gift for me in and of itself.
The dear wife gave me a set of Carhartt insulated bibs and a Bunn coffee maker and granted permission for an SI Defensive Pistol course 1st quarter next year and funds permitting a course per quarter to fill out the year. I love that woman.

God bless,
nkl

Time spent with family and friends at home and in worship service.

My most favorite personal gift: a St. James Cross.

Everything else was just gravy.

Life is good and our Savior is Great!

I won the 55" HDTV my company gave away at our Christmas party:bliss:
The XO upgraded my EDC light from the Surefire G2 (80 lumens or so) to a far brighter Streamlight (130 lumens)... and adopted my Surefire for shotgun bag. Apparently all my family members thought I was running low on ammo- the wife got me 300 rounds in 9mm and 100 for her shotgun along with a box of Winchester's PDX "buck and ball" for the shotgun, plus my father got another 100 rounds for the 12 gauge and more 9mm for the closet.

I worked both Christmas Eve and Day-which reminded me of my first Christmas with my first wife, aka the bean burrito Christmas... We were so poor that all we could afford was that pitifully small meal, which we shared with the graveyard watch at the enlisted barracks at Little Creek over "It's a Wonderful Life" while I worked. Gus, you're right- it really isn't the "stuff" or how much you spent on it-it's the memories that you create that matter most.

Great thread! I too received the greatest, most priceless gift of the Light of life...and got to enjoy Him all month long through celebrating Advent. Treasure of treasures, and it gets better every year. The food, presents, parties...just gravy.

Under the tree for me was a slick new bluetooth headset, copy of Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy, a few new shirts, and the unbridled joy of watching my kids' faces melt into stunned disbelief as they opened up their very own Nook Color tablets (grandparents on both sides pitched in with us). They didn't see that one coming! I had spent a fair amount of time rooting & setting them up in advance, but they neither know nor care what that means. They're haaaaaapy campers.

(For those who are curious, I installed Cyanogen Mod 7.1, making them far more useful than stock config (bye bye warranty though). Also, Vipre Mobile Security gives you a password-protected app control, so they can't just run out on the internet or into the market to get into all kinds of mess. They can use whatever apps & games we approve, and need our password for the rest. Slick.)

I way blew the Christmas budget and got my bride a Samsung Galaxy tab 8.9. Happy wife, happy ME! Her laptop then becomes the new (and needed) school computer for the kids.

My early Christmas present (thanks to some folks in my congregation) was being able to send my rifle in to RD for some love. Santa's making another trip to my house pretty soon! :yahoo:

AND, in just over a week we're going to visit my brother & family in Colorado. Can't....wait....

Merry? There's an understatement.

We enjoyed a great Christmas in rural Missouri with family that still live out that way. Got to spend Christmas night on my grandfather's farm, although he's not around any more and the land has been split up. It's still a special place to me and just being on the land brings back those precious memories.

There was a new Trijicon RMR under the tree this year. $'s will be flowing towards OST for a new slide and sights next week. Can't wait to try it out.
