We are in need of an S2 Trainer.

Candidate must have been an E7 or higher US military intelligence specialist with an MOS equal to U.S. Army 18F or USMC 0203 with deployed operational experience in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) working at the Battalion level in a supervisory role.

That is what the client (US military) has specifically requested and that's what my company must advertise for.

Potential reason for 18F: Likely to think through, plan and coordinate "guy on the ground stuff". Battlefield intel / immediate use, not necesarily long term / stratiegic in nature. On a Bn staff or heigher, especially where task force construct for a specific mission is concerned, it is not uncommon to find such a scope requirement.

Brother, I must admit that when I found out that our current guy was leaving and was asked to put the word out about the position I immediately thought of you as I know that you're well-suited for it. :-)

But as I know that you're busy on CONUS and we need someone immediately I thought I might as well let the rest of the guys know.

While there are numerous qualified folks interested, immediate availability is the key to securing the position.
