One day, when I was much younger, my dad got a bottle of Courvoisier VSOP cognac (brandy) as a present.
Good memories. It's still my favorite.
A snifter of cognac. A cigar. A campfire. Good company. Life is good.
Try Germain-Robin, out of California, for a really pleasant surprise.

Yes, yes, and yes again. It is hard to find here sometimes but is worth the search.

I will have to try that.
For now I'll stick with the French stuff... Cheers, everyone!

Kelt cognac or VSOP. It is aged on the ocean, the flavor is spectacular and is a great match for a Partagas No. 10.

I know it is not "real" brandy for the purists, but for something different, try "Cask & Cream" sometime. It is essentially like Bailey's Irish Cream, except made with brandy instead of whiskey. Very nice on the rocks, or in coffee.
Ooooh, that sounds delicious; like a nice winter time beverage.

VS Antigua VSOP from Portugal is very good
Aquardente Bagaceira Grappa Marc, XXXXX, VSOP old brandy is also very good
Asbach Uralt from Germany is considered one of the best in the world - and I agree:biggrin:

"Ararat" from Armenia is incredible. Don't have any idea if you can get it here, but it was famous all over the former Soviet Union.
