What is the difference between these two sites?

I can't find the Doctor listed on the trijicon web site, but I see them listed at various on-line stores, generally for about $200 less than the RMR.

The main difference would be that the RMR is way more ruggerized / hardened than the Docter. You can take the Doceter to a competition but if you are going to war o duty the RMR is the one to have.

^^^^This^^^^ and Trijicon dropped the Doctor line of individual sights which is why you're seeing them on clearance.

How well would the Doctor hold up under general use? I don't want to spend $250 for something that's going to break easily or if you aren't careful with it, but I'm not planning on going to war either...

Depending on what your 'general use' looks like it likely will work for you.

IIRC, Yoni has had that (or similar) model on his pistols for some time without issues AFAIK.

While we recommend the RMR since it is the highest quality solution, I mill a number of slides for the Docter, Burris Fastfire, Leupold Deltapoint and the older Trijicon RDS sights.

General use... Hmm. I guess I just want it to stand up to range use, with full power 10mm ammuntion, holstering etc. I don't know that I have ever dropped a weapon, so I'm not anticipating that becoming a regular occurance, though I wouldn't rule it out happening once just because it's never happened before. I don't plan on doing any low crawls with it holstered at my waist.

Does the Doctor have the same foot print as the RMR? In otherwords, could I later switch to an RMR, or would I need a new slide for that?
