Looking for any job leads for a pilot who's been instructing full-time and flying corporate part-time, but hoping for something more consistent. Prefer to stay in the SW, but willing to relocate. Thanks in advance!

Check Six,
Air Pirate out.

We have openings at Fort Rucker, AL. http://lsirucker.com/home/Employment/tabid/57/Default.aspx All rotary wing Instructor Positions. It's the best job I've ever had, that's for sure!

Thanks all, I appreciate it! Sorry I should have been more specific.

ATP (ASEL/AMEL)
Total Time: 3,417
Single: 2,848
Multi: 569
Inst: 236
Turbine: 30 (Yahhh, that's the thing that's killing me)

Yahhh, that last one is what's killin' me, I know. Been getting some time in a PC-12 lately, but the problem with going faster is that time builds slower. Haha. And I could definitely get on with a regional, but can't afford a 8-10K paycut. Just thought I'd throw the net out on here and see if anything came up. Thanks again!

Go to www.usajobs.opm.gov (http://www.usajobs.opm.gov) and build a profile. These guys hire on occaision; I fly with them regularly.

Thanks, CBP would be a great gig. Have had a profile on there for a while. Last I heard their plan is to cut back on the fixed-wing flying and focus more on the UAV's and rotor. As far as everything else goes, just gotta be able to survive the next few years and things should get better, between the crew rest req's and the 65 retirement age kicking in. There's definitely going to be alot less people in the applicant pool too, as significantly less people are training towards a career.

Oh, and VarkDriver, I didn't get your PM.

Thanks again!

The use of UAV's in a place where we own the airspace is just plain stupid. They cost more than the PC-12 with the same sensor suite and are limited to one job, surveillance. You can't medivac or redeploy SRT with a drone; you can with a PC12 or like the C-208 Caravan that DOS uses out-conus. The CBP air fleet isn't going away, it is just too flexible, something a Predador is not.
