My hat is off to this man and his family:

I know it's the man and not the gun, but I would not be happy with just a 9mm over there...

Your probably talking about having a long gun or PDW on hand. As far as handguns go............ i would rather the 9mm with more BB's then a .40 or .45!!!

I go out daily with a 9mm here in Colombia and many have .38's.....................

Yeah, not knocking the caliber, it's what I carry, but a PDW sure would be nice to have when up against guys armed with AKs and ARs...

My 40 holds 13 and my 45 15rnds.... I got plenty of bbs.......... or course finding a 9mm Glock is impossible... my biggest reason for the others.

Hell, my AR pistol in 7.62x25 would be better than just walking around with a handgun. Its Juarez. If there is any place where the old adage "If you arn't expecting trouble, just carry a handgun, if you are expecting trouble, bring your rifle" would dictate carrying a longarm, Juarez qualifies.

Sorry, a 9mm vs an Ak is a losing proposition. I spent 8 years in El Paso, it is worse now than it has ever been in Juarez. I have seen what an AK does to cars, they are not cover. That is why I practice like I do with my 308, I am not taking my 223 up against an AK if I can help it. I hope the best for him as it is a very dangerous and difficult job he does.

It's gonna be more like a 9 versus 5 AKs.

This is the last guy I'd trust to protect me. He only carries a 9mm pistol in a war zone, brings cameras into his home which broadcast his wife's face and shows he has kids, and takes reporters with him as he makes his daily rounds. Won't be long until someone follows this guy home. Truly very sad. He is either completely clueless, or the new PR guy for the juarez cartel

He really revels in the drama of it all. A show-boater. Doesnt make much sense unless he wants to be a politician...or dead. I don’t imagine he will be around for much longer.

I just finished a job in Northern Mx. We were successful. Had we been this showy and public about it, I don’t think we would all have made it home safe and sound. This is exactly the type of overtly public/talkative "security consultant" our clients RUN from. He and guys like him are good for our business!

We worked Juarez for 9 months in 2008 and this is definitely a "show or fluff" piece. I just looked him up, this man lives in El Paso not Juarez.

I have been in a shit hole south of the U.S. border on and off for the last few months and I would agree. He's a transparant, make believe, wannabew, used dousche bag! Not real secutity but rather eye-wash secutity.
