I've just received the below information and figured that I'd share it with you guys.

ALERT-WARNING

If you have sent a resume or job application to the Phoenix Group, Phoenix Intelligence Group, or Phoenix Intelligence Institute- BEWARE.

An individual named Juan Reed (http://www.linkedin.com/in/phoenixgroupandassociates (http://www.linkedin.com/in/phoenixgroupandassociates)) who owns a "company" referred to as SocNet.com (http://www.socnet.com/showthread.php?t=84661 (http://www.socnet.com/showthread.php?t=84661)) is implicated in a scam involving contracts with law enforcement agencies in Arizona going after Homeland Security grant money through "Operation Stonegarden".

Reed, Juan (Carlos & Cesar) have been used in multiple websites. He has a very long felony criminal background in Virginia. This individual/company has posted want ads on Craig's List, Career Builder, and the Phoenix Group website. He uses the term "forcED protection" rather than Force Protection (in addition to numerous spelling and grammatical errors).

If you have sent an application or resume, consider putting a FRAUD ALERT on your credit history. This individual has used personal information from people looking for work to access Social Security Numbers, DD 214s and other personal information.

POC: Norfolk, VA, FBI Field Office 757-455-0100.
Jacksonville, FL, FBI Field Office 904-248-7000.

Poorly written article/release. Juan doesn't own the Socnet site. The link is to a thread where Juan's company (International Security Consulting Solutions) is scrutinized and found wanting.

I would consider removing that statement that could easily be construed as SocNet itself being connected to criminal activity.

You're right. I hadn't even noticed as I didn't follow any of the provided links.

Poorly written article/release...
I agree, but that is exactly how I received it.

The Ft Hood ACAP office provided that information as posted above.

Every other reference to this on the In ternet uses the word "in" and adds the word "thread":
