While signing up for my new free hatchet at Death Valley Magazine, (-the odds of my winning something above a T-shirt are about the same as having a recoverable meteorite land at my feet), I found an ad for the above named jobs locator service. DVM was mentioned here a while back, seems fun and harmless at worst, I think it's pretty OK for humorous reading.

Sign-up is now reduced to a one-time fee of $77.00, a third of what it apparently didn't do so well at.

Anyone have good or bad reports to share?

BTW, the "Old School Man" series, just brought back there, reneweth my appreciation for such men. I'll do my best to continue to always be worthy of such a title.:D

Job locator services that require a fee, in any industry, are almost always a ripoff. There are abundant free sites offering the same info. Devex.com is the most commonly used site I know of for international contracting. The company I worked for on two projects in Iraq lists openings there.

Cheers,
DR

Thanx, D.R.,

Same thing I was thinking;

Just didn't pass the smell test...

Rather than get hooked up in some fly-by-night outfit that will send you alone to Durkadurkistan and tell you to catch a bus to your base, why not cut all of that crap out. We have a member here MD West that has placed numerous guys in real jobs with real companies around the world. He posts under mdwest.

Look him up and stay away from the redbull awesomeness of internet contractors.;)
