View Full Version : Insight MRDS vs. Trijicon RMR

It seems we are favoring the RMR, but I haven't seen much yet on the Insight MRDS.

It looks like it might be more concealable and I do like the option to replace the battery without removing the unit. As for toughness, if it is as strong as advertised, it should be as tough as the RMR.

Any experience with it yet?

The MRDS doesn't really sound so great for a pistol by comparison to the RMR, if you think about what Gabe says about it here in the first part of post #14;

Battery replacement is a non-issue.
What I distinctly do not like are on-off buttons and dot intensity adjustments.

Put whatever RDS you wish on your pistol, but if you realize your dot is off, or very dim when you draw in self defense (because your adjustment adjusted in the holster) it will be your own fault.
