Anybody actually use these? Thoughts and experiences?

I haven't used them yet, but have heard many good things. A lot of the guys on the CrossFit site use them and like them a lot.

Scrapper's website has some exercises on it at www.trainforstrength.com (http://www.trainforstrength.com). Also, www.circularstrengthmag.com/22/ (http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/22/) has info on clubbells. Pavel's website at www.dragondoor.com (http://www.dragondoor.com) has a forum and lots of good info also.

I use them; they work fantastically, except for one thing:

You have to be REALLY, REALLY conscious of the likelyhood of overuse injuries when using them. Perform EXTENSIVE limbering exercises both before, and after using them.

Using kettlebells is, in a way, kind of like suntanning: it's easy to go too long, because you may not realize how much you've done until you're injured. So, go slow to start.

The bulk of my workout routine consists of calisthenics, Total Gym training, and Tae Bo daily, and kettlebells and swimming three times a week (alternating). This is in addition to my classes at my dojo.

I mention my routine, to illustrate this point: Despite advertisements, kettlebells aren't the "single source" workout; they're a great tool, but only as part of an integrated physical training regimen. Using them alone will produce little result, other than overuse injuries.

Where can one actually get the Clubbells? Kettlebells seem a little easier to find.

Here's a great page on clubbell training:

Michael provided all the relevant links for kettlebells.

I used them here, over the summer, borrowed them from an MI guy.

I made some pretty dramatic strength gains.

I can see how you could overdo them,I guess I wasnt trying hard enough. :D
