Gabe,
Have you considered Ferfal from "Surviving in Argentina?" He would be a great guest speaker for the Warrior Skills camp.

Intelligent, learned, credentialed, experienced, eloquent, professional, able to adapt the material to the intended audience and very presentable appearance...yeah, that pretty much sums up Lil'C! And, he likes gunzzz. :D

Hi Gabe,
I live in Buenos Aires ( Lomas de Zamora) and I’ve been writing about urban daily survival post economic crisis since 2002. I’m 30, have a wife and two kids.
Here’s my blog if you want to take a look:
Surviving in Argentina (http://ferfal.blogspot.com/)
Kind of messy to explain in few words but these are things that go from personal security ( mostly avoiding getting into gunfights in the first place, which is good for your health:D), finding a job and make money to pay the bills when there’s 25% unemployment, how to drive when no one obeys traffic lights after 10 PM and carjacks occur often, keeping essential gear at home and the necessary mindset changes required during hard times just to name a couple of the most obvious things.
For example this morning(working on a book), I was writing a chapter regarding people’s weakest link in terms of security: Your kids and wife.
You can shape yourself into being pretty badass with training and mindset ( for real, not just a wannabe) but a phone call from your kid/wife saying they’ve been kidnapped, or arriving home and finding the bag guys already there with a gun to your loved ones head, that put things into perspective. (Baigorria says to take the shot and shoot the badguy in the head and I agree with him)
Still, needs to be addressed in my opinion and there are things you can do.
I’ve taken defensive shooting classes with “El Negro” Baigorria, your instructor in Argentina. Still need to take “modulo3”.
Also took hand to hand fighting with other instructors. Boxed for some time many years ago and now do tai boxing and BJJ floor fighting.
Unfortunately my teacher credentials are oriented towards 3rd year Architecture Representation, drawing and sketching.:)
Not gun or survival related but my students tend to like me and do as I say… after a couple slaps. :DJust kidding, I don’t harm them physically… just destroy their egos so they’ll listen.
I don’t know how many people would be interested in these kind of experiences, but there’s a fair number of visitors to my blog each day ( thanks guys, by the way)
There’s a bit more I could tell you about me but if you are interested I’d rather do it through email or PM, or we can talk on the phone.
Take care and please let me know if you are interested.

Gabe, I have a bunch of old knowledge and darn little ability to apply it.
I am a stroke damaged, retired lawyer with great old knowledge. I have no idea what I had for breakfast after Mass today.
Bounce me a PM if you think I can help.
I am not looking for any pay. This site has enriched my life. If we should meet the first beer is one me.

I often use the Steven Segal line ":cool:I'm just a cook." since my official title in the Navy is CS1 =Culinary Specialist, Petty Officer 1st Class. I was active duty '91-94 and since then a reservist trying to make Chief (E-7). Currently on active duty working in Emergency Management/CBRN in Japan.
I also have a 2 year AOS (Culinary degree) from the top chef school in the world, the Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, NY campus) Plenty of various kitchen experiences.
It was only 6 years ago I moved into security work, which I equally love.
Some others may be more experienced for teaching the fire building, hunting/gathering and which-bugs-taste-best.
I can take it from there. Things that everyone should know include...
Sanitation
Food Borne Illness
CCP/safe temperatures
Healthy food options
Bulk food ideas/cost cutting
Storage/Shelf Life/Stock Rotation
Equipment considerations (indoors/outdoors)
Food prep/cooking methods (edible vs. actually enjoying it:rolleyes:)
SafetyMy official teaching certification is in the martial side of my career (see my website).Teaching and demonstrating the culinary side of things is not official in the Navy, it is EXPECTED (of leadership). I have plenty of experience with show/presentation/demo cooking with audiences and also managing in kitchens.
I have a very good reputation as an instructor of anything I teach. I can provide a reference from one regular WT'r that I have given private training to.

This sounds like it would be a very worthwhile endeavor in todays political/economic environment.
I'm 32 years old, married, and am nice to old people and animals. I'm not sure if God can use my skills in this fashion, but I'll list a few of the things I'm competent at and see if there's a need.

Marine Corps Urban Combat instructor
Experience with leading and teaching Small Unit Tactics
Emergency Medical Technician / Combat Lifesaver
Guitarist for my Church's Contemporary Service band (rocking out with Jesus every Sunday morning!) and High School Youth Group leader.
Please let me know if I could be of assistance with your training curriculum. Thank you.
Adam

Was going to post, but after reading the skills of those before me, I am not worthy!
Man, do we have a collection of skills here or what? Gabe, I don't think there is anything like this anywhere. You have indeed created a community of truly unique, qualified individuals and it is my humble honor to be amongst them.
Bless you all!

I don't feel comfortable (for PERSEC reasons) going too much into specifics, but I have in excess of twenty years experience in the Australian Defence Force survival sphere with more than ten years as an instructor. Main environments are arid, jungle and alpine. Currently employed by a different government department as a survival instructor.
Are return air fares part of the deal?

Hi Gabe,
I have spent 18 years in the military, 8 as a Navy SeaBee, and 10 in the Army. I've been to Kosovo in 99 during the liberation, and I served in Iraq in 03, the first year, until injuries forced me out (but I'm still able to carry, shoot, and fight!). I of course can teach and instruct, I was an NCO. PM me if you have any questions.
Thanks
