Job Description
Civilian Police International (CPI) is actively seeking current and recently retired law enforcement professionals for: the Department of State, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Program, established pursuant to Presidential Decision Directive 71 (PDD-71), to strengthen criminal justice systems in support of peace operations and complex security operations overseas. Currently, the average international assignment is for one year in Kosovo and other countries as qualified by INL-sponsored missions.

Traffic Accident InvestigatorsPosition RequirementsU.S. Citizen · Preference is that the applicant have a minimum of 8 years of active duty law enforcement, however the applicant MUST have a combined total of eight (8) years work experience with at least five (5) years being in a position of sworn civilian law enforcement, in a full service law enforcement agency. Actively serving sworn law enforcement officer, or recently separated sworn law enforcement official (within five years). - Note: Successfully completed or current assignments to U.S. CIVPOL contingents in Kosovo and other INL-sponsored missions will be accepted as active service time. Ability to communicate in English. Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to operate a standard transmission 4x4 vehicle. Unblemished background. Excellent health and be able to pass a law enforcement physical agility, physical fitness run and a psychological test. The applicant must be able to successfully qualify with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. Valid U.S. passport. Negotiating, interpersonal and leadership skills. Knowledge of International Police Standards. Experience in a multicultural environment. The ability and willingness to train other individuals in their area of expertise.
