For what it is worth, mdwest organized a contract I worked on in 2005. He is an upright guy, so don't hesitate to contact him if you qualify.

Is Uganda a coalition country? Most of the EODT guys I met served in the Uganda and other African armies

Hey, I meet the minimum requirements a couple times over! But, at 60 I think I'll pass on the offer. I really don't need the hassle of trying to explain to the wife why at my age I'd go looking for another shooting war.

Yeah, like they'd take an old fart anyway, right? ;) :dope: ;) :dope:

(First ever e-motive useage!)

long time no see KJ... hows life treating you? still working in hot and sandy places?

After nearly three great years moving around out there, and six horrible months in that swamp on the Potomac, I came home. Decided I didn't want to be a cop or medic again, so am half way through nursing school at Duke and making my living teaching online college classes and writing textbooks for DHS and DoD.

It was not an easy decision, and I miss that time every day, but it is turning out well.

sorry for the slow response guys.. been swamped this past week...

short answer for anyone wondering about the hiring pipeline.. is all qualified resumes (if you meet the minimum standards listed then you are qualified.. ) have been forwarded to our staffing department.

if it has been more than 7 days since you did this, and you have not been contacted with either a "yea" or a "nay".. do me a favor, and send it one more time..

they are getting hammered right now.. we are hiring in excess of 100 new expats, and close to 500 TCN's in the next 30 days.. i dont THINK anything has dropped through the cracks.. i THINK they are just taking longer than normal to respond to people because of the excess work load.. but i would rather be safe than sorry at this point...

Are these positions still open? What are the physical requirements? What does the hiring process consist of? Pay? Please send me a PM.

Kraken,
Mr West is probably too busy to come by here often. He is hiring for EODT right now, so go check their website and contact them.

Good luck!

Suppose one held a top secret security clearance while on active duty, then ETS'd (1988) and has been a police officer for the last 20 years... How does the security clearance get reinstated?

the dredded LOA/CVS process I presume?

DoD has been going through some changes.. depending on who the assigned contracting officer is it can take days.. or weeks.. to get "approval" these days...

LOA
