I would appreciate the views of anyone on the forum on how to keep training if one has a severely arthritic hip. Especially on how one can minimize aggravation of pain and flare-ups resulting from training with kettlebells and in martial arts.

Being originally from Milwaukee, I had to try to help:) One of the first things you might look at is a book called "Core Performance" by Verstegen and expiriement with the Movement prep section. See the effect these movements have on your condition, but give them a few weeks to see how they play out on your condition. It may seem silly or easy but its helping me alot. Incorporate breathing into the movement. Try it with and w/o breathing and you intuitively understand why

Ask your doctor if Mobic/Meloximcam is right for you

Are you getting this arthritic pain response from working out as you describe right now, or are you anticipating this reaction once you do start?
