duty: Sig P226 (issued)
Off Duty: any of Glock 19; Glock 27 or Taurus M85 .38Sepical (the pretty light blue one!!)

Also a Rem 870 on duty and in my POV most the time.

i carry either a kahr P9 9MM or a glock 33, both in IWB holsters and both w/ranger ammo, carried the glock for several yrs, then got the kahr and really like it, light/thin/reliable/accurate/easy to carry, i do like it a little better for EDC use than the glock. recently got my wife a PM9 and she also carries it edc, it replaces a SIG P225 9MM, much smaller/lighter for sure, and she can still shoot it well, i think she gives up 2 rounds total vs the P225.

things keep getting smaller, in the early '90s i carried a P220 SIG .45 and thought it carried well, seems a little big now, lol.

There is actually an extensive thread on this forum---"What do you carry and why" that you might refer to.

Springfield XD-9mm subcompact with 124 gr +p Speer Gold Dot. It's the size of a Glock 26, but I like the grip safety that keeps it in battery and blocks the trigger when not squeezed with the palm.

Glock 22 or 27, with identical set-ups - Trijicons and NY1 trigger.

used to be a glock 31 in a bladetech IWB. Now I carry either a Smith and Wesson Model 65 3" .357 in a bladetech IWB or a Bianchi leather beltslide, or my wife's Glock 19 in a comp-tac ghurka (the most comfortable IWB anywhere). I prefer the revovler for it's reliability and accuracy (in my hands)

What? SA 1911a1 in a .45 ACP

Why? I can hit very quickly, the design fits my hand, slim profile, ease of modification, and its made of steal.

Three choices depending on weather and situation

1911 in 45 ACP - full size for the dependability, still concerned with the cut down models. If fits the hand and shoots so well. It has been my sidearm of choice for both duty and off duty (When I was a LEO and the dept agreed)

Browning Hi-Power - Same as above but a slightly more compact sidearm.

S&W Model 37 Airweight J frame - tiny, light, 38 spl and hides so well inside the front pocket.

I have used various versions of the 1911, S&W 39, 10, 19, 58, 28, colt Python, OMC Backup, etc. I keep coming back to these three for most circumstances that I encounter. Are they perfect probably not? Do they fit my needs- very well. I shoot them a lot and know what they can do so for me this is my trio.

Duty Sig P229 .40 cal, and off duty is Sig P239 .40cal. I have been playing with a Glock 23 on which I had Robar modify the grip and really like it. I may make this my new off duty weapon.

SIG P229 .40 most of the time. SIG P239 9MM when it needs to be deep under cover. Someday i will have a Para P13 to add to the carry list(i like the idea of 13+1 of .45 acp in something not much bigger than the p229).
