As usual in a new-to-me AO, if time allows this week, I'll want to prowl local gun shops. Looking for used walnut and steel with character.

Recommendations? Places to stay the hell out of?

stay out of J&G as they will maintain all your personal info since they were part of the fast and furious shit.
- Bucky Oneill guns is good, they typically do the most consignment sales from estates in the area, so their walnut selection is usually better that most.
- Bills second hand is good if you have cash on hand, and have the largest amount of on the shelf items - just don't cuss in his shop
- high country guns, is a good ol boys shop ran by assholes, but they typically have a good selection

other than that, hit up any of the pawn ships in the area, they all have guns

Last time I drive through, maybe 6 months ago or so it was so fucking busy.... It was crazy and look really good for local business... I’ve almost moved there a couple of times, it’s pretty nice compared to a lot of places...
