If you're waiting for Valentines day your doing it wrong.

Strive to be as loving and passionate as Gomez and Mortica.

Now I gotta go and find a piece of chalk to keep in my pocket to use when we get interrupted...

This here. The wife and I never buy each other cards, gifts etc for Valentines, Christmas, birthdays etc. we have everything we need and 90% of everything we could ever want, and can buy stuff whenever the mood strikes us. BUT, we spend every day together, work alongside each other, cook our meals together etc. we can and usually do, work in the same surgery center all day and whomever comes home last will call the other one and we talk from leaving the parking lot until pulling into the driveway. We are businesses partners, family leaders and best friends so we just don’t feel the need for flowers and gifts

having said all that, there is certainly nothing wrong with celebrating Valentines or giving flowers etc and I know some guys will face the Kraken if they don’t bring home some chocolate in a heart shaped box on the 14th :smile:

Sometimes you just want to do stuff for her so others can see how you pamper the love of your life!

Hint for younger members... If she says something similar to, "Valentines day is so commercialized. Don't buy me anything, I don't want any presents", you might be tempted to take her at her word. Don't. Trust me. What she actually means but isn't saying is, "You haven't made me fell special in previous years and I'm afraid of feeling disappointed this year."

Whether you like or dislike Valentines day, a heart-felt expression is noticed. No matter their age, women are still little girls inside.

You're doing it wrong if you wait and hurriedly buy her gifts after you get off work today. Just watch the faces of men today. Mr. Panick-stricken "Oh, I'm in big trouble if I don't bring a bunch of nice stuff home". Mr. Just checking off the box, his disinterested attitude is visible.

I buy flowers a lot, but not today. During part of the Rona, she worked at home every other week. So, I'd buy flowers for her to enjoy at the dining table while working on the computer. Now that she's back at the office every day, I buy flowers at seemingly random times.
