I have a job that I can take in Whitefish. Is it worth going???? It will be temporary, 1-2 months but I can make it worth while financially..... I don’t need to go but I like changing the scenery occasionally.
Live and shop outside of town. They have a sales tax in Whitefish. And it's a typical moneyed liberal tourist trap in a mostly red state.

I love Montana but it is very seasonal- check weather forecasts for the time you would be there. If you like snow, there will be some soon! It is in the 20's at night right now.

Lol, this is why the work came up. A dude from California retired out there and now he’s trying to finish a building to live in before it gets too cold. I would have to go quick.... He can’t find contractors and everyone disappeared on him. I know how things are other places, places like that are seasonal. Most guys will only work 6-8 months out of the year. Another thought I have is expectations and prices this guy has for the workers. He will be shocked if I go up there so all of that will be dealt with prior. I can’t be doing shit for free... I told him the last remodel I did, which was basically the whole inside of a 2000 square foot house took about 6 months. Some structural, but mainly new kitchen, plumbing, electrical, full kitchen, 1 bathroom, doors, windows, flooring, ext.... It’s not like the tv shows, when things get inspected that adds a whole new variable....

Cool... We will see how serious this guy is. May be a pipe dream to finish before it gets too cold. I have to go back to McCall ID soon, I would rather do it first. Place we stay is nice, and we will be up there for 3-4 weeks but all inside work.

Word from a relative living up that way is that is the housing market is tight. There is a shortage of labor in whitefish at the moment because workers can not afford to live there is what I am being told. Ck out that you can get a place to live.

For sure.... It’s crazy like Idaho, Arizona, everywhere.... California people fucking up markets, bringing huge equities and retirements to sleepy towns all over. Lol....
