Just another reason not to get the COVID vaccination. about 1/4 of the districts employees had negative reactions to the COVID vaccination. apparently this was only important enough to remain as local news.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) — All five schools in the Upper Perkiomen School District closed Friday after dozens of staff members called out sick. The superintendent says so many staff members called out because of reactions to recent COVID vaccinations.

Called a friend of mine last Friday to talk about a gun he has for sale. I picked a bad time. He was extraordinarily miserable and in severe pain. This was after he had taken the second shot. I didn’t bother saying anything about it. I’ve tried to advise people against it but I get a glassy eyed stare in return and they go get the shot. I give up.

That glassy eyed stare is them saying: “I am a useless idiot Bottom-Feeder who needs to be culled”.
Good riddance to them, I say, including the ones in my own family. I’ve witnessed such extreme and inexcusable levels of stupidity and degeneracy during this past year that I don’t give one sh*t about them, let alone three. In all honesty their permanent absence will be a step in the right direction.

I might beta-test software when I'm bored but I sure ain't beta-testing vaccines without a very good reason.
Completely new unknown vaccine for a virus that I hardly noticed I had? Hard pass.
As an aside, I find the vaccine quite interesting and a prime example of how money can make the impossible possible.

A friend of mine's wife got both shots. Been over a month ago. She's had a headache since 30min after the second shot.

I overheard some people bragging about how their BMI qualifies them for early access to the vaccines.
First thought: maybe they’re finally focusing on obese people?
Second thought: nope, I looked up the numbers and I would qualify as a fit male. (I’d have to be a beanpole to not qualify.)
Third thought: these are young mostly healthy people that want these. I don’t understand their risk trade offs. We clearly don’t think the same way.

Totally agreed on the "we don't think the same way".
I should not be surprised at how effective the brainwashing was...and yet somehow I am.
On BMI...Last time I looked at BMI (many years ago), I was on the cusp of being obese according to their numbers. Hilarious.

Just for grins, ran my numbers. I'm a 24.8. I'd be "overweight" at 25. That's at 6'2" and 193 today. Back in the day I was 6'3" and 230. BMI of 28.7. "Obesity" is 30.0 and up.
I'd better go eat some soy-based high fiber gruel.
Bloody rubbish.

I hit 21.2. I guess I'd better go keep lifting and get some more muscle on (need to do that anyway) so I can get closer to technical, muscular obesity.
On the "vaccine": I know a couple women at school who are pregnant and are trying really hard to find a place where they can get the shot. Not sure whyever on Earth one would want to get a shot without proven safety that would also affect one's unborn child...but then again, one gal insists she really trusts the shot precisely because it uses mRNA to make your own cells start producing bits of the virus and train the body to respond to it.
ETA: Just saw this linked in a blog I frequent. Short summary: Getting the "vaccine" does indeed increase immune response—and is also likely to make you hypersensitive to, and therefore more susceptible to, the virus and similar ones. The "vaccine" kills.

Well now you made me go and do it for grins also. 6" and 191, BMI 25.9 and "overweight". Ha! Bloody rubbish indeed.
But, I'm not as close to obese as I remembered. Gonna have to eat more...and I already have 3+ protein shakes a day!

Bloody rubbish.I try to never get into weight discussions with my gymnasts, other than that they need to be eating lots of protein to repair muscle from training 20 hours per week. But the other day one of them was talking about her weight in some sort of context. Oh; I think one of them pointed out how stupid it is that Krispy Kreme is giving free donuts to people who got vaccinated, since fat people are at way higher risk of dying.
I was like, "Look, you girls should NEVER compare your weight, or even care what that weight is, when it comes to what your "regular" friends weigh. Muscle is heavy, and all of you are JACKED. Just be happy you're not weak like they are."
For fun I also pulled up the BMI chart and showed them how I'm clearly "overweight" according to it. "Does anyone think someone could ever get away with calling me fat?"
They all laughed.
"I don't want to give you medical advice or anything...but if someone ever says, 'based on your BMI--' to you, you should just totally ignore anything else they say after that."
