A work in progress, based on the SI stripped receiver. Not bad for $29 and change, plus whatever I could scrounge up.

The wood goes when the Hogue 12" LOP stock w/foreend arrives.

"Lefty" refers to the LH trigger group, and "LH" or "L" will be painted onto the Hogue.

Keeping this one dirt simple. If the experiment doesn't work, a RH trigger group swaps right in.

Tell me more about the left hand trigger group, please.

I have always changed the safeties out to left hand.

Thanks!

I needed a flexitab carrier anyway, so I bought a factory Rem LH safety trigger plate assembly at a discount a month ago.

Talking about safeties on the pump shotgun. I assume when lying under or on a car seat the chamber is empty. Just how important is the safety to operation of the pump shotgun.

I had to swap to being a lefty quite a few years ago. It does take quite a bit of practice to get used to. Keep at it.

If you had limited mobility and strength in your right hand - pistol grip stocks are helpful until you get your strength back. I also fashioned a "hook" on an 1100 stock that hit just below the elbow. I helped counterbalance the weight.
