Loving the new job at the fire dept

I have been working at the FD since Jan 16th. I like the varied work I do and the people I work with. I have my list of to do items and my boss has projects that he wants me to work on. I get it done and he doesn't micro manage me. I like that if we need something and I give a valid justification he approves it. I also like if I have concern about the timing of a project he listens to me. I have an office and a stand up desk to keep from sitting too much. I also was issued a car to drive to the different station. I take it home, but that also means I am on call, which has not been too bad. I also like that I am in uniform again and don't have to think about what to wear. The gym is 10 feet from my office, so I have been working on my weight. I am busy all day long and my day goes by quickly. I am just super happy where I work. When I was at my old job, I was like crap I have another 20+ years to work.
