By mid-April, we'll be in Georgia or South Carolina.

Yeah agree to the above comment. I'm in GA and they almost elected a liberal loon for governor.

I've never lived in a communist state, but I've lived in a few shitholes, and the feeling of moving from them to a nice area is nothing short of amazing. Knowing that you can go down any street you want and won't be arrested for your color, etc. It's super convenient not to live in a shithole.

I left NYC and lived in Alaska for 8 years. I finally realized what freedom was.

Then my folks had health issues and I moved to Upstate NY. Miserable 13 years...
