I have been asked many times recently. So I will do it. An instructor training school...likely two to three days...here in Prescott, AZ.
Probably before the first live fire class of the year so March or early April. Likely in the area of $400 - $500. And it will be all lecture and workshop based.
The goal being to teach you the best way to teach others this discipline that we follow. Why no shooting? Simple...because if you are not a good shot already, I wont make you into one in three days. But I can make you into a good combat communicator and give you systems for conveying information to others in that time frame.
Post here if you are interested in this.

Will this be a continuation, a supplement or a replacement to the previous Instructors' course?

Interested. I would go for another one of these, particularly since there is a lot of new information.

This would be all classroom. If you are not a good shot, you won't be a good shot after three days. Same for fitness. But the organization of a class, the presentation of information, etc. is all an academic matter. When I taught the last one there was alot we didn't get to because we had to go and shoot. They guys that come to such a class expecting a high round count and challenging drills will be disappointed and should not come.

Because you had to impromptu teach "instructor level" candidates how to shoot..

Actually the last class I did here for "Instructors" was embarrassing. It was when Cheryl and I first began discussing our retirement.

Guys this is a great class. I took it several years ago and learned a lot. Being a NRA Training Counselor I train instructors for the NRA. I learned more about the business end of teaching from Gabe. It's still not easy business and with so many veterans teaching now the field is crowded; but Gabe's knowledge is spot on.
