While running through the PHX airport today to catch my flight home, I rounded the corner and saw Gabe talking on his phone. I tapped the brakes, said "Hi Gabe" shook his hand and kept on towards security. Would have loved to have chatted for a few minutes, but he was busy and I had a plane to catch.

It was good to see you. I was actually there to pick up my mom who is staying with us for a few days.

I was talking with an immigration attorney to see if we can plot Gerald the African's entry into the USA.

If he was illiterate migrant worker from Mexico with tattoos all over his face, he would be here already. Being an educated productive dude...its not as easy.

When we are able to get through this, I suggest he stick it good to the system and claim to be African-American.

Yup. My wife and brother in law are both MDs from Venezuela and are having a hard time.

Why don't we start a go fund me or a sort of donation pot to help smooth his trip over?

An old buddy of mine was born in Hawaii. Every application he ever submitted said “Pacific Islander”. I shit you not [emoji23].

A friend of mine, whiter than snow, was born in Morocco. His father was an engineer working there at the time. Tells everyone he is African - American. Nobody believes him!
