My wife and I are planning on visiting Sedona in mid-May. Does anyone have hotel and restaurant recommendations? Thank you in advance.

I’m doing some work up there this weekend at a resort named Enchantment... my first trip was O Dark thirty, looked really nice. That’s all I know about the place.

Weather should be standard AZ - great. Take a local area biplane ride from the Sedona airport w/ your XO (cozy open cockpit); should be spectacular!

There are a couple of nice places just outside the city. I think they are Hilton. A search will reveal them. Also one called Los Abrigados. Those are where Shield Maiden and I stay.

Chow is great at Mariposa and Picazzo's.

Ignore all the crystal vortex hippies. They are a harmless nuisance. There are many Jeep tours and hikes and nice shopping. If you get a chance do check Oak Creek (although it may be a dry creek after this dry winter).

Agree with Gabe. It’s a golf resort... awesome pool and the accommodations are more like furnished apartments.

Coffee Pot had killer breakfast.

We stayed 3 nights at the Hyatt Piñon Pointe and enjoyed it immensely. The location was convenient for the Jeep tours, eating, and hiking.

We also ate at the restaurant at Enchantment Resort. Slightly claustrophobic but beautiful views, but the food was overpriced for what you get.

I second, Ted! The WX should be excellent for a biplane ride! Also the airport restaurant isn’t bad at all and worth lunch.

Stay away from the Creekside Inn. It feels kinda like being in a funeral parlor.
