Updating my 20yr hunting camo and stumbled on Kuiu camo.
Is anyone using this during season in the woods?

Be using this in the Idaho flat land and Mountains in 2019, maybe this year should the gear be available now. I know the season is close.

The RokSlide forum has a great section about clothing.

I wore Kuiu gear (clothes and ruck) last year when I did the Bataan death march memeorial ruck. Their gear is awesome, a friend of mine just got back from a hunt in NZ and wore it, no complaints.

All the hardcore western hunters I know are using it. Since it’s in all their social media pictures I think it’s safe to say they recommend it.

I prefer First Lite you might want to check it out. Kuiu is nice and fits in nicely with all the other overpriced hunting clothing these days (including First Lite). I like the Kuiu pants and the Down Jacket is the best goose down layering jacket out there. I don't like the shirts or the DCS Guide Jacket or Chinook Jacket. Kuiu stuff does not translate to warmth, at all no matter how many layers you have unless you have the goose down, and wind rips right through all their clothing
and their DWR finish will shed only the tiniest amounts of water. I seriously don't know why everyone loves it so much, IMO.

First lite is Merino wool based for the most part, you can also get synthetic fabrics from them like the Kuiu stuff. But it is just as comfortable and keeps me warm late season and cool early season. My main grip with them is the cuff on the base of the pant legs to seal around your boots, I understand it's function I just don't prefer it. But you can just cut it if you want.
