Greetings all,

Jim Miller here, I am starting as a staff instructor at SI based in Ohio.

A little about my background, I spent about 20 years in law enforcement. I was a charter member of my agency's SWAT unit. I served as both an entry team member and sniper until my retirement. I was a department firearms instructor, armorer and FTO. After retiring I worked force protection at a nuke site. I also was a team leader on a red team for that site and some others in the fleet. So, when I wasn't protecting the place I was planning it's destruction. I left there for a training contract overseas working with a counter terrorist unit. I've worked executive protection details since the '80's. I'm also an EMT-B and recently got back from a humanitarian mission (I know, who knew?) that is a tale for a post in the tradecraft section.

When I'm not working I like training in martial arts, lifting heavy things and running as fast as I can.

I have had the good fortune to train with Gabe, Craig F, John McReery and Eric T. I'm looking forward to meeting and training with you all.

I'll be scheduling and posting classes by the end of this quarter.

Stay tuned

Did all the time around nukes give you spider special powers or do you glow in the dark? But seriously, impressive background!

All,

Thank you for the warm welcome.

To answer a couple questions, never got any super powers, haven't started to glow in the dark.

Seriously, let me know what you are interested in, if it's in my wheel house, we will make it happen

Any mid-high level pistol class or any shotgun class. Hoping you’re in eastern Ohio but I can probably make it wherever as long as dates line up.

I'm willing to travel, don't worry, I can keep it non-denominational if you can.
