Looks like you are about to upper cut the surbu super shorty execpt being actually useful and not an AOW.

I've been thinking a lot about this very thing.

I was also considering the 3+1 version, though of course that's a bit longer and 2+1 is probably a better choice for this.

Are there concealment restrictions on AOWs the way there are with PGOs?

If it is in a case, it is being carried to and from...no issues. Hidden under your clothing...maybe not something to discuss here...;)

It is not an AOW. It will still meet the OAL restrictions in it's intended firing position.

Copy that.

Will the folder go right? I think this is a candidate for the angled side saddle (GG&G?)

I already talked to Mike. I want one in NP3 with a dual illum RMR.

Artist sucks at photoshop. It will fold to the right. Side saddles will still be useful.

Reason I asked is if it WAS set up as an AOW, would the concealment restriction still be an issue. But it's an academic question because I've got no intent on carrying this under a trench coat. A PGO in a case works for me.

Excellent. Year of the Shotgun indeed.

Oh I think I felt it move a little when I read this.

VERY Cool.

I always fretted over the smaller mag issue. A "standard" 4 shot mag tube would use a 12inch barrel (even with the front of the mag tube cap). While that seems the easy button on something like this smaller is actually better and worth the reduced capacity. Great idea Gabe.

How soon are you taking orders?

Full mag tube and a plus one. May stick past the barrel a little, but who cares.

Once Remington made a straight stock 870 with a 3 shot magazine tube called the Upland or something like that.

I wonder if any of those tubes are around.

A full mag tube (4 rounds) with a +1 extension needs a 14" barrel. With just a full length mag tube the barrel can be 12". Not having a lot of qualified/inspired smiths locally, the 12" version seemed the easy way to go short BUT the SI wizards can do some really cool stuff.

A sawed off double shotgun holds 2 and people have always respected it as a deadly close range weapon. This is basically a sawed off pump shotgun that can hold three. It could be for someone like me. I may wait until it comes out in 20 ga.

Well lets not minimize this shall we.

1). Find me a double barrel that can be less than 20" folded and not be an NFA weapon.
2). Find me a double barrel that starts out with three rounds and can be constantly fed during the fight without being taken out of action.
3). While we MAY eventually do one in 20, I am seeing the market isn't as interested in those as in the 12 ga...and you know my focus.

I like the idea, and wonder if a 10 inch version and a 12.5 inch version would be possible. 12.5 inch should allow the 4 round 870 tube, plus you can still utilize a 14 inch barrel if necessary (Say it has slug sights and your 12.5 doesn't.

I certainly understand the logic and focus and you may well not do a 20 and move on to other things.

I've got no problem with a 12" version. Looking now into whether I can/should build one on my bootleg, and SI will sell me the barrel.

That would correct certain errors of overenthusiasm I committed during the build.
