I have asked lots of questions, read all the threads, and today I bought a G17 (with finger groves). It shoots ok, but I will have to get used to it. I shoot a revolver better (for now). I was expecting some "hair trigger" or something, but it was a nice even pull.

I didn't get a good deal, but in Wichita Falls good deals are hard to find. I very happy with it. I hope I'm as happy with this G17 as everyone here is.

Now, will this make me want to own more Glocks?

You'll probably want more than one, they are addictive!;)

Good luck. Just spend quality trigger time and you'll love it in no time.

Are you freaking kidding me? It won't just make want to own more, it may even make you want to own multiples of the same type!

I know I do.

Welcome to the Glock family! I'm a longtime revolver shooter too, so I know how you feel. The Glock trigger takes some getting used to, but once you've figured out its idiosyncracies it's actually easier to shoot fast and accurately.

As Kevin said, you'll get the urge for more. I keep thinking of getting a second 38 in .45 GAP to complement the first, and then I have to talk myself out of a dual gun rig; too Wild West I suspect, but PAINFULLY cool! :D

The 17 is all you'll want...or so I thought a year ago.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the good Glock info. I posted a lot of questions about "bad" Glocks and the rumors of ADs.

I'm very happy with my G17.

So far the only Glock I have not like was a G27. I shot one mag, and gave it back to my buddy I was shooting with. I just love my G21, and G30, it dose seam like an addiction.

I got in some quick range time this morning. The G17 is great. I'm getting used to the trigger and I shot better this time. I think this is a keeper. I could even see a G26 in my future.

Before you go the route of the 26, take a look at the 19. For many people it is the best carry gun of the 9mm family.

Txray22,

Welcome to the Glock family! Yes, you'll want to own more!

Tragically, in my case, due to budgetary constraints, I had to compromise and trade my Glock 17 toward my Glock 38! However, I do plan to make up for lost time (and lost Glock) one of these days . . .
