Does anyone else make this type
of product? Any others that work
or worth using?

There ARE other folding mechanisms; BUT none Id use on a AR. Some of the others seem to be fine for stuff like a folder on a Glock PDW or maybe on a shotgun stock. In the Non AR role a failure wont stop the gun.

Ditto on an AR...I've been using a Law. On my AR pistol for about 18 months...solid, and no failures due to the buffer tube...a solid product IMHO...

I don't have any info on other similar products, but do recommend the Law Folder

My question was two sided for me.

A less expensive alternative for
Glock PDW & I am somewhat
interested in a folder for an
AR or 3.

So who are the other mfg's?

Thanks!

John

I know of no other folding mechanism I would trust on an AR other than a LAW.

Ace, Brownells, UTG all look like varients of each other...LAW is the gold standard.

I'll look into these.

Thanks!

The best folder I've found so far for the Glock PDW is the MDT (Modular Driven Technologies). It's expensive but it's better than the cheaper units I've seen.

The Hera arms looks viable but it was never available when I looked.

I have been working with the Dead Foot Arms system on a AR pistol for about 8 months now.
Function has been very good. The unit includes the folding unit, modified bolt, dual spring recoil assembly. DFA is veteran owned and has special discounts for military and LEO.

Due to the recoil assembly and bolt, the unit can be fired when folded, multiple times. Quality look good so far.

I have an XLR folder on my PDW that's excellent. No reason to spend the money on a Law for a PDW. It's a a much more complex critter for a totally different application (the AR).

The XLR Industries folder is an excellent alternative.

Probably more applicable to the AR but thanks for sharing, I hadn't heard of that one and will have to check it out.
