No surprises here... vegetarianism will probably make your offspring less healthy.

Long term vegetarianism can lead to genetic mutations which raise the risk of heart disease and cancer, scientists have found.

Populations who have had a primarily vegetarian diet for generations were found to be far more likely to carry DNA which makes them susceptible to inflammation.

Just take a look at all the spindly dweeb beta males one sees doing the vegetarian and vegan thing. They can't bench 100 pounds and they can't keep a couple of freshman and sophomore high school thugs from taking their wallet...

I'm a carnivore my self but just pointing out that UFC Fighters and triathlon runners Nate and Nick Diaz are vegetarians and I believe one is vegan. Not to mention bad asses. Different strokes for different folks.

And imagine how much better they would be if they ate steak. What one vegan does, because he is gifted, is not a testament for vegans, but rarther to the individual's gifts as an athlete.

That's my point, everyone is different. Nate Diaz says he got better after going vegan. Tony Gonzalas the NFL tightened went vegetarian late in his career and says it helped him last a few more years. I'm closer to paleo than anything and I have no idea why someone would not love a steak, however you can't say people are wimps just because they are vegan/vegetarian. That's what I was responding to.

If vegans and vegetarians don't like meat, why do all the things they eat have to look like meat? Veggie Burgers, meatless sausages, tofu patties.... What is the point of making it look like meat if you don't like meat? I don't shape my burger patties to look like eggplant or my chicken breasts to look like tomato slices.

Talk about a mental disorder....

Pointing out a hyper exception doesnt disprove a good general theroy or findings either.

I didn't say anything like that. I said that vegans aren't necessarily "wimps" and gave examples. But you know that because you read what I wrote. Everybody has a theory and everyone is sure theirs is right. Again, I'm not a vegetarian, I just don't understand why everyone is so worried about what someone else puts in their mouth. Who cares as long as they aren't pushing it on you.

With Vegans, they often do. Many are trying to ban meat.

No one here would care what they ate if it were not for their attitudes.

It is also really strange for someone to use their diet as a means of identification. That is very cult-like. I have no problem with someone who just eats fruits and vegetables because they think it is healthy or because they like the taste, and also doesn't see the need to turn it into an ideology or take up a label that makes them sound like some sort of sci-fi alien.

These guys grew up on MEAT and normal eating before they went vegan. It's like neutering dogs too early—if you do that they don't develop the proper muscle & bone and mental maturity. They already grew up before they neutered themselves ....

... but yes most people need more fruits/veggies, including me.

Different strokes for different folks.I read an article that indicated while those guys were vegetarians, they did also enhance their diets with whey protein and other supplements. They just did not eat much meat, especially red meats, so they were still keeping up their protein intake. I will link it when/if I find it.

Exactly.
All of these studies, statistics, etc. apply only to populations, not to individuals.

I estimate a carefully selected vegan diet to be better than normal junk food.
So going vegan can be an improvement to a diet of just eating random crap.

The best is however a carefully selected high protein diet with the best quality food you can afford.

Most of the time I see them comparing themselves to those they call "Meat Eaters" they are comparing them to those who load up on junk food.

A hamburger at a fast food restaurant actually has more carbs than protein, and when you add in fries and a soda there are far more carbs, and that is assuming you don't supersize them. Yet these idiots would call it "high protein."
