Tell me about the Kaiki, Gabe.

The first of a new series of Asian-based knives. That is all I will say for now. "Kaiki" is loosely translated Japanese for "Pirate".

Look for several knives coming from us this year.

From what I can see so far I like.

Asians are quite nice.

So long as there isn't any Karambininja nonsense (I know there won't be) I'm interested to see what you come up with. A Suarez version of something like the Shinbu knife would be interesting.

Any hope for a cold steel version of the Hawaiian knife?

I might buy one. The only reason I didn't buy a Grab n Stab is the lack of a guard. I can't wait to see what this one comes out to be.

Well...none of my concealment knives will have guards, so you probably won't buy this one either..

lack of a guard.

Using any fighting knife that is designed without a guard is a training issue, not a knife issue.

John Chambers

Different blades with different killing. I look forward to using as a new hold out blade, and the blade design is ideal. It's not a bowie so there is no need for a guard. And NOBODY carries a bowie more than I do! :)

The shape and texture of the current version G'n'S scales make for the most secure knife grip I have ever held without a ring or a hilt. Dip it in motor oil and go crazy on a big tire or whatever. It's not happening going to move. The grip shape provides maximal versatility for a wharncliffe blade, and that texture sets the standard for grip security.

Same goes for the GU. Same texture and a grip that provides maximum utility and versatility in the smallest, most concealable size and shape.

That may be so, and I would buy one of I could put my hands on one before.

I do understand the concealment issues and that adding a guard adds bulk.

I have a Gang Unit and love it. Maybe I should give the GnS a try.

I am not going to have guards on these because they aren't necessary, nor important on this kind of blade. if that is a deal - breaker, then it is what it is. On BIG KNIVES it a different deal...on these...no.

Thanx for the info. I definitely like it & the coated material should make it very non slip in the hand.

I'm still holding out for the cutlass .. Someday I hope.

Grabbed the last one. I've never bought a knife to see what it looks like before but I still hate myself for not getting a UFK and VSK so I'm jumping in head first this time. And if I don't appreciate it as much as I do my GU and GNS I'm sure someone here will take it off my hands.

Damnit man. I was this close to ordering it and an alter boy. Can't wait to see what it looks like. Hopefully there is more to come.

Very nice looking blade. Very tribal-ish. I'm sure I'll get one eventually. Pretty sure it won't replace my GnS for every day carry, but I still want to add one to my armoury, just because.

Looks great ... and the price is right! Love the no frills handcrafted design. The sheath looks cool, too; utilitarian and functional. AUS8 is -- despite the steel fetishists' commiserations, -- an excellent material. My old San Mai Tanto has AUS8 at its core and it has been beaten and abused and still holds up. This piece should be a lifelong companion. Reminds me of an upgraded ESEE 3, which is a good thing.

Sorry I missed the first batch. Will order when they're back in stock.

The hammer finish makes the important point that this is a tool first, in a much better way than, for example, throwing a gun down in the gravel and stomping on it and shooting a customer.

How'bout a new pic and some stats, even a sketch would be nice. The Internal Affairs and the other new knife looks nice; but some specifics would help to keep my attention. Maybe even a pre pay??? Any ideas of a production date?

We had to focus on slides and barrels for a while. The blades are coming. You saw the melonited Gang Unit and Grab N Stab. The Internal Affairs, The Narc, and the Kaiki are coming.

Gabriel Suarez
07-20-2017, 07:02 PM
Besides the Narc, Internal Affairs and Kaiki, look for a series of Asian style blade in the Aikiushi/Tanto style, some push daggers, and a few more church inspired knuckles tentatively named the Inquisitor, the Prayer Warrior, and the Cardinal.

As far as guards go from various test we made on tires and pig's flesh through the milenia proven method of trial and error it was found that in say reverse grip the best guard one can hppe for even in the heaviest stabs was the thumb over the butt end of the knife. Some found that in the hard way involved with sliced palm and fingers .Hope it helps. The 'Grab-n-Stab ' looms mighty good tool to have

I like money, so I don't see why not. However, it will require that I do some heating and remolding of your sheath as well. $60
