HeadShrinkHer and I are headed to Vegas for a conference. Besides the "Topless Pancake House" is there anything else I (err WE) should see....? I had once thought I might want to drop in at the Gold & Silver Pawn shop; but Rifle Dynamics sounds more interesting. We're staying at Caesar's; but we'll have a car...

How do the casinos and hotels deal with cops and guns?

The Pawn shop is just a typical pawn shop, unless they're filming. If they're filming there, is a line out the door and down the street, and don't expect to be let in. Unless you're just a die hard fan of the show, not worth it imo. If they're not filming and did not just finish filming there is near zero chance you would see any of the people from the show.

The Heart Attack Grill is a neat experience.

There are also numerous machine gun rental places like Machine Guns Vegas and Battlefield Vegas...some have some neat stuff that you won't see elsewhere. Most have their inventory(armory) listed online so you can see what/if anything is worth the trip before you go. Some will provide free transportation to/from your hotel.

Take in a show or two if you're so inclined and have time. The Penn and Teller show was enjoyable...as well as a few others...

PM inbound relating to the casinos and hotels.

Forgot to add this in my PM, but if you carry a blade be sure to read up on Nevada's knife laws! IIRC it has to be <3" for most locations.

Since you're renting a car, Hoover Dam is not far at all....(30 minutes or so)...and the tour is pretty cool !

Last time I went, the Luxor had the titanic exhibit and the body one. The body one is a bunch of chunks and slices of dead body's if you are into that.

Ditto to what StealthNeighbor said. Hoover is worth checking out.

I was there maybe 8 years ago and saw The Rat Pack show. It was quite good.

Honestly just walking around and people watching was the best part haha. I didn't care for much else.

Hahahaha that's what we did last night. HeadShrinkHers idea, we walked to a Mexican restaurant that some friends recommended (Sugundos??). It was good food at good prices. The street traffic was the real show.... We're gonna do the Hover Dam tour later this week. Caesars is amazing
