Whats your prediction for the state of the world in 10 years? I'm no expert but what I thinK

- China will be very close to first world status maybe even a first world nation.

- The middle east is currently home to 400 million people and growing by 8 million per year. Almost all experts agree that with the way the middle east is this population growth will be one of the big factors contributing to the middle east collapse. Other factors include the decreasing dependance on oil, war, terrorism, and the general chaos in the middle east. The people will migrate to Europe.

- Things will be bad (even worse than they are now) for Europe. Tensions will be high and native Europeans will blame the migrants for the middel east and violence between the two will be common. I don't believe Europe will collapse in just 10 years but things will be very bad for them.

- No idea about Russia.

- No idea about N. Korea.

- I believe the USA will be slightly worse off than we are now but no where close to as bad as Europe will be.

Whats your opinions?

I will be making more money, care less about what the masses think, things will be more violent and I will not be able to have much of an effect on how shit goes. And I will be encouraging folks to not get wrapped around the axle about things they can't change.

And there will still be people that need to be killed.

I will have a fleet...not just a couple of ships.

Guns will be illegal and I will expand my empire by selling them to everyone as well as anything else that people want. All of my money will be in the Caribbean where corruption will always be on the side of the guys that pay. Neither I nor any of the tribe will give a flying crap about what nations and governments do since the time of nations and governments will have come to an end. Somebody will always be at odds with somebody and we will find a way to profit from it while others bang the drums and wave the flags. And every so often we will get to shoot some bad guys in the face.

Life will be f***** good...and simpler than it is now.

My son will be 20, and since my world revolves around my roll as his father that is my first thought on ten years from now.

That aside, and moving way down the list of what I care about from my son down to the rest of the damn world; my prediction is not much will be different. Predictions of drastic calamity have always been more show than go. I think political correctness will still be a cancer on Western Civilization. The dollar will still be accepted everywhere, even if it's not as powerful relative to other currencies as it once was. The ice caps will still be there, as will predictions of their eminent disappearance. Islam will be more powerful than it is today, and will be no more peaceful than today; yet there will still be a chorus of "It's not aaalllll muslims!" and so on.

In short. Just another tricky day.

The power struggle for resources will be quintuple what it is now; basics like housing, food, and clean water for people. Timber, minerals, petroleum, and information control will have skyrocketing interests for governments.

Nothing real specific, but all the encompassing social and political minefields that surround those, will be on fire with shrapnel and general carnage. Very uplifting times.

Sums it up best I reckon; another tricky day.

the strong and the smart will continue to thrive through changes.....the rich will grow richer, the poor will grow poorer; stupid people will be much more stupid; violence will be a greater part of everyday life. Politicians will lie....truth-tellers and whistle blowers will die; and everyday American life will begin to look like when an imploded 90's USSR and an economically collapsed 2000's Argentina have a two-headed baby.

The laws and the courts will still function....for the rich; democrats and liberals who are not black, muslim, Latino or gay will learn that blacks, muslims, Latinos and gays all hate each other (and straight white liberals too)

Everybody Americans don't want to have nukes will have nukes. Peak oil and global warming theories (highly politicized today) will begin to demonstrate their effects if they're true.

Gabe will make money.

In 10 years I will be 60, and I will still be a bad ass.

Growing civil unrest between those who work for a living and pay taxes and those who don't. Rising interest rates. If you will be in the market for a house, buy it now, and be prepared to pay cash for everything else. Possibly more war and empire building by countries whose oil based economies can no longer support them.

+1 to John's comments. Don't even need the rest of the thread after that.

Sounds great, but I don't think it will get that bad here, not in 10 years time. That's sort of like Michael J. Fox in 1985 saying we'd all have flying cars by 2015.

Yes, I have heard that on the utmost authority of those who can know such things.

In 10 yrs I will 65, still be retired, fit and strong, and living very very well, just like I am now. If chaos reigns in this country, well, I have options oconus, I can always turn a vacation home into a permanent one, be it Montevideo or Grand Cayman. YAHOO! you always have other options.

I won't make any grand predictions. Seven years ago I tried because I had a certainty that we would have another world war in 10 years, and the idiocy in our society I thought would take 10-20 years to start either have happened or are starting to happen already.

My only prediction will be to second The rifleman next door:
