A film about destroying one world enemy but can easily be applied to today's world enemy, ISIS. Plus, it's down right entertaining.

Battle Ground still does it for me.
However, I could stand a few REVERSE Al Jezera vids where a mask crusader collects a few ears if you get my drift.

I liked the Inglorious Bastards, but to me there were not enough of the Bastards in it.
Wild Geese was great! You should watch it with a bunch of Jarheads who had been in the desert (29 Palms Camp Wilson back in the tent days) to long!
I would add the 13th Warrior. Yeah I know he is haji but I love the Northmen!
Without a doubt 29 stumps, spent alot time there for uncle sam

Look up Warren Siciliano, he was a real life soldier given the assignment of killing Nazi's by whatever means necessary.

IB is one of my all time favorites...The Usual Suspects as well, right up there with Heat and now Sicario.

All I find is some old time Karate instructor in Florida? Maybe my google-fu is weak.

Warren was in NY...could easily moved to Fla...if he is still living, it is very likely its the same guy...yes, he did have a school...last I heard his son took it over...contact the school and ask about WWII...expect him to be modest.

I can't find anything about WWII at the moment either...will search my records such as they are and attempt to find more. It is possible in my dotage I have the name mixed up.

OK, it was a complete brain melt down...Sicilian was indeed a Karate master but not who I was thinking about. I was thinking about Pete Siringano...Italian names...shesh...here is a tad on Siringano.
-Swift, silent, ruthless, like acreature from hell, he plunged his knife with maniacal fury into the breast of the first soldier. The fingers of his other hand were thrust into the eyes of the second soldier, and with a clawing motion he tore away almost half of his face. The third soldier stared, transfixed with horror as the fiqure of death decimated his two screaming comrades. suddenly , the third soldier, coming to his senses, made a motion as if to unsling his rifle, but a well -aimed kick caught him in the mid-section. He uttered an explosive oof!, doubling up with pain, and a knee smashed him in the face, knocking him unconscious. the fiqure from hades now turned his attention to the others, and within a short period of time, Pete Siringano of the american ranger battalion had PERMANENTLY DISPATCHED THE THREE GERMAN SOLDIERS!-------THIS MAN TOOK AN EXTENSIVE COURSE OF 9 MONTHS AT 10 HOURS A DAY IN COMBAT JUDO , JIU JITSU UNDER LT. COL. JOHN KILLIGREW---------imagine a gracie guy doing this, rangers are in trouble!-

Truly a remarkable and entertaining movie. I have always liked how Tarantino uses dialog to "marinate" a scene.

Love The Wild Geese; just re-watched it last night (this time with a coupla co-workers who are veterans of the South African Defence Forces) and it never gets old. Coolest mercenary movie ever made IMHO.
That said, going back to the OP, Inglorious Basterds is a cool flick too.
