While many people are avoiding crowds these days, my family and I decided to take my two boys to their first ever Broadway show this Saturday night. We went to see "The School of Rock" with my seven and nine year olds - and they loved it, creating a lasting memory.

Security was tight. When the show let out, there was an NYPD tactical team waiting outside, along with dogs wandering through the crowd. As my boys had never seen Times Square at night, we decided to walk a few blocks south to show them the lights.

I grew up in Manhattan, but I must admit that I was amazed by how crowded the city was. I have absolutely no idea how the NYPD can have any hope of actually keeping someone intent on causing mayhem from doing so. This is a photo of the crowd in Times Square at 10:30 pm on Saturday night. It looked like New Years' Eve!

Jesselp, Excellent. Kids need to see behaviors that are worth modeling, namely yours and your wife's. Great idea.
