You know which ones.
If any of you have recently attended these, can you please post a synopsis of any changes the parks have to ingress filtering (metal detectors, etc.). I understand at least one has magnetometers on certain roller coaster entrance lines.
Just need to know if I need to make additional accommodations.
Thanks!

I was at the major ones in June. Cursory search of all bags. No metal detectors or pat downs anywhere.

Disney, Seaworld and Bush Gardens, bag search and no metal detectors. Read somewhere that Universal (?) was installing metal detectors at the entrance of some of the roller coasters...
Kennedy Space Center has metal detectors.

Universal Orlando has bag searches, no metal detectors. Leave the sneaky bag at home, but carry the Glock.

The metal detectors at the roller coasters are to make sure nothing falls out that could hurt bystanders.

Thanks all - what I wanted to know.

I've heard this as well. It does make sense. If your Disney/Universal, you don't want to slow down the lines anywhere. Fast as possible. Safety is also a given at these places - it's vacation after all. So installing these things at the front gates makes the tourist question security a bit and slows down lines before you even get in the park. Two bad characteristics for business.
Re: the rollercoasters at universal - I read that it's primarily due to "selfie sticks" on a coaster where two cars come close together at high speed and one tourist smacked another pretty hard with his selfie stick. This is probably the lawyers' knee jerk response to the incident.
