The Road To Hana is a typical Maui-esque drive. Its favored by the carbo-holic crowd as it is a sedentary drive where you get out...eat some fruit...get back in and marvel at the scenery. THAT sort of day I wanted nothing to do with.

I hired a local to show us around. We jumped off cliffs into icy pools...rappelled down to black sand beaches....free climbed down to red sand and green sand beaches, and got to do and see things a bit "off the map" as they say.

Great stuff. If living well is in fact the best revenge, we have avenged everything.

No...not this time. We did so the first trip out there back in '97

Absolutely beautiful, you are the man Gabe! I would give you a rep point but it just feels weird giving one to the Taipan!

Awesome to see that, especially as I know you had some great obstacles and tough times to get to that spot.

Hopefully the profit from my recent V3 slide order was sufficient to tip the skycap ;)

We made the drive in 2001 on our honeymoon in a Mustang convertible, top down! Beautiful.

Great to see the whole family together on the island! My family did the road to Hana and took ultra-light lessons at the Hana airport: awesome way to see the black lava beaches from on high.

Hah, I was supposed to go to kauai this month for 4 weeks for work/paid vacation. We have too much to do here so I stayed and my dad and brother in law went. Thinking about it know, what a bad decision that was. There isn't anything like Hawaiian beaches and cold drinks.
