The recent thread about a garter pistol got me thinking. My "date" is still awhile off but these are things that I want to get right! I mentioned to HER that I was thinking about a Rolex for her and she said NO! she didnt want a wedding present and the Honeymoon would be enough. Well I can take the NO for the Rolex but not for the wedding present....Shes just gonna have to deal with getting a gift from me! But WHAT?

For the groomsmen, I was thinking something like a Avenging Angel pistol or maybe a set of Dueling Pistols? Its gonna be a small wedding (not the first for either of us), maybe just a couple guys. I was thinking the Avenging Angels could be carried during the ceremony but then everybody needs a set of Duelers. Are Duelers too much of a personal thing? Would you want a set as a gift or would you want to pick out your own?

This is Maryland so going BP is an easy gift, modern handguns guns not so much

Avenging Angels would be a great gift. How many groomsmen?

I am a long time fan of the avenging angel concept. That gets my vote. Heck, I know you don't know me, but if you need a stand-in I'm in for one of those.

What about a nice poem that includes the words 'a necklace of the foes ears'
Just joking, I digg a nice knife. Maybe something like a nice folder, with you and miesies names ,date and a nice saying ingraved on the blade.(saying could obviously include something about heads on pikes etc.)
Chicks/bridesmaids could be a nice pink folder?

I like the BenchMade Axis Lock folders. They have several models in various sizes.

You won't touch decent duelling pistols for much under $1k each. I'd be thinking of knives - a good folder is always appropriate. The other option would be percussion revolvers - I'd stick to something straightforward like a '51 Navy.

My wife would like some grande diamond hoop earrings. She has some small ones but I went and checked out some 1" and bigger sets. Pretty easy to blow $7-12k. I have not pulled the trigger, might take a few years or the next serious life success to celebrate for me to get there, seems like a great gift for your situation.

Buy her a horse, atleast then you dont have to mow the lawn!!
Or....
Full sized Hadji Targets and an Rmr Glock 19!!!!
Or....
A full blown Safari in Africa, shooting Lions and Rhino.

Just not Diamonds, what can actualy be done with those things? Not like its an investment, you will never get her to part with them, say if there is an like emergency(when a nice gun come up for sale or lions is on a special, wont get her to sell them)

Bought one small diamond for my wife, now she gets guns, knives, a solar panel and ammo. You know, usefull things.
Next present in October (4 years married) a Bear Grills Tomahawk for her and (you guessed) ammo for me. 5.56.:yahoo:

Hahaha we may actually be doing just THAT minus the Rhino.... We had talked about Nepal, Katmandu, and Everest Base Camp but that's out for awhile at least. IF we do head your way, we want to do some sight seeing too.

Im still working on HER gift; but Ive decided on the gifts for the guys. Im gonna do Avenging Angels, and Im doing them myself for the personal touch.

Here are a couple pics that helped me make the final decision to go with the Angels. Im tempted to have the back straps engraved with something like "EVER MORE". It fits both for the wedding and for the guns.

Im generally incompetent with tools when it comes to stuff around the house and scared to death to take a dremel to to my Glocks; but I don't have a problem with doing these. They aren't cheap; but cheap enough to "learn as you go".
