With the coming of Spring Break, we took the opportunity to spend some quality time together and burn some powder. We started the day with some pistol work and I got a few shots of the next generation of gun fighters in action. They all ran their Glocks for a while but they also spent some time with the 92F and the CZ75. My son loves the 92 and the girl loves the CZ so they shot up most of the ammo I brought with us. I also came dangerously close to losing my new Beretta 84 when I let my wife run a few mags through it. She proceeded to shoot the crap out of the center of the target, and then went after the face! Guess what I will be buying soon as I can find another? Both she and the kids loved running the AR PDW too. :biglaugh:

Damn John, that almost brings a tear to my eye (almost, might be dust). Family fun time is time well spent. Congrats!

Next thing was pure fun: SKEET! We played some "If you miss, I get to shoot" games, used the trap and hand tossed birds, and my son went on a run that was unreal. He went 30 straight without a miss!! He is turning into a shotgun prodigy. They shot their M1000 20 gauge and my Franchi O/U 20 gauge and while I did use my Citori XLS a bit, I actually broke in my recently acquired High Standard Police model that is identical to the shotgun used by Steve McQueen in "The Getaway." I know the 870 is a much better practical choice in a pump gun, but the High Standard is the slickest pump action ever. Just plain love them!
All in all, it was a PERFECT day.
