i went with the Solidoodle gen 3. I was initially looking at the Makerbot Replicator 2, but the Solidoodle prints with the same quality, and costs 1/3 as much.

If you have followed the M4 Pistol thread you'll see my new pistol...the CAA Stock Saddle is not really designed to mount onto the pistol buffer tube...I've done a fairly good job of doing so but a custom piece printed on a 3D printer would be a "game changer" to quote Wil at RDF LOL...anyway...I'd love to talk to you about making a prototype and then printing some, it would probably be a piece worthy of OST carrying...it would very closely follow the cheek piece concept to allow adherence to the BATFE letter and would/should look exactly like the CAA in profile and fitment...the difference is that it would clamp SOLIDLY onto the pistol buffer tube via 4 allen screws from the bottom and would have a picatinny rail for sling attachment or other items a user might decide to attack...
Looking forward to talking to you about it...I live in Va Beach...

Take a look at the CAA Stock Saddle...I've mounted it as securely as I can utilizing the current design but this has a number of possibilities while still staying legal...lots of potential buyers...

Capt, that sounds cool, we should definitely talk at CRG. I'm not sure how appropriate ABS is to that application but we should be able to prototype something up at lt. Shoot me a pm and we will trade emails. The printer has an 8-10 week lead time, so we have plenty of time to work it up.
LMAO ... just saw your PM.
