Ok I am not 100% if this is where this thread goes so mods please correct if need be now then I just got word of a "deal" for a "lumenox navy seal watch" black on olive for about 200 29998 I do believe it uses tritium and quartz now the question is due to my watch ignorance is this a good buy it sure seems like its atleast 150 cheaper than any other lumenox I can find on said website
so should I trip the sear or not
previous watch experience has been cheepies although I did go through a base timex (broke or ran outa battery can't remember) replaced that one with warranty and now that one has gone through its service life
also wondering if a countycomm band would work on it

My advice is to find a Luminox that has a sapphire crystal and then buy it.
They will be slightly more expensive, but in the end last you much longer. Mine has been through hell and back and not a scratch on the crystal.

I am having the darnedest time trying to find a sapphire dial window in this style or a style like a 3003 or 3053 what models are sapphire
I saw the same deal. I own a couple of Luminox watches and they are great. I read the reviews and one comment was "very, or something to that effect, SMALL" Not usually a descriptive term for these. I would check to see if its a smaller "ladies size"
When a deal seems to good to be true, it usually is. Just my .02

Which case is it? Luminox has polymer and stainless steel cases. The polymer are usually the less expensive watches. I haven't been keeping up on model numbers for a while, so you'll have to check their website to be sure.

I think they have this same watch on sale at Sportsmans Guide for $179. I have one and like it for my daily uniform watch/casual wear.

Yep that's the deal I wasn't sure if it could be mentioned I settled on another model and I am going to throw on a countycomm 42 mm band to be a little insurance

The Kid got me the SG version for Christmas. It has not been through a full year of farm use beating, but it has been immersed in mud "rich in organic matter" a couple of times and I do not take it off to shower. The only security comment that I have is: When wearing face on the bottom of the wrist, and holding a night sited gun you first get a glimpse of too many dots. Those on the watch are much dimmer but when still fuzzy with sleep and grabbing a nite sited gun I take a second to adjust.
I like the watch.

I had 3 of the stainless models, they all died the same death of not moving for 2 seconds then going 6-10 seconds all at once then sitting still and repeating every minute or so. Got a citizen and its been my daily wear for 5 years, not a single problem with it.

The image of the one I posted above is of a Ti cased one that hasn't even had a battery replacement ad I've owned it since 2003. Never anything wrong with and no scratches.
Like anything, the cheaper versions may not be as robust.
